Crocodile
Skin
Crocodile skin is often associated with luxury and quality. Highly distinctive in it's look and texture, crocodile skin is used in the manufacture of purses, wallets, shoes, belts, bags and other items by many of the best known designers including Gucci, Hermes, Louis Vuitton and Prada.
Crocodile skin quality varies between the animal and the part of the body it is from. Generally the premium sections are along the centre line of the under belly and throat which is also where the most symmetrical crocodile skin patterns occur. Skin patterns alone the side of the crocodile are slightly more rounded in shape and like the under belly are considered of high quality.
In some countries certain crocodile species are considered endangered. It is important to purchase crocodile skin product that has been sourced in a sustainable manner.

Meat
Crocodile meat is low in fat, calories and high in protein. Crocodile meat is also high in monounsaturated fat and a good source of vitamin B12 and niacin. It is considered by many as a desirable red meat alternative. Crocodile meat is versatile to cook with, it is ideal grilled, fried, skewered or barbecued. Crocodile is a light flavoured meat and is best cooked slowly over low heat which ensures the cooked meat is tender and succulent. Cooking too fast and at high temperature can turn the meat tough.
The best parts of the crocodile for meat include the legs, tail, cheeks, chest fillets, neck chops and tenderloin. Racks, spare ribs and T-bone are also highly recommended. All is delicious!

Oil
Crocodile oil has long been used by indigenous peoples in Australia, Borneo and South Africa to fight off infection and speed the repair of damaged skin. The crocodile has one of the strongest immune systems of any animal, despite the wounds they inflict on each other their wounds rarely get infected and heal extremely quickly. Crocodile oil is produced from the fat deposits in salt water species crocodiles. Modern scientists now know that the substance contained in crocodile oil kills virulent strains of bacteria that are resistant to modern antibiotics.
Crocodile oil is ideal for the treatment of eczema, sunburns, cold sores, pimples, insect bites, stings, burns, cuts and skin abrasions. Crocodile oil reduces scarring and works as an anti wrinkle agent by thickening the skin making wrinkles less obvious. Crocodile oil is rich in Omega's 3, 6, 9 and Vitamin E and is gentle on all skin types. Like the animal, crocodile oil is awesome!
